With construction finally nearing completion, we’re excited to debut all of the history and hard work behind the Rockford City Market’s new indoor space. We have two beautiful event spaces that help make up this historic landmark and public space--The Bowtruss Room is 3,300 sq. ft. with exposed brick and wooden beams and Market Hall is 3,600 sq. ft. with industrial cement floors and the building’s original limestone. We have contemporary garage-style doors leading outside, perfect for a summer party or watching the snow fall during a winter wedding. We invite you to come experience this modern take on Rockford’s historic charm. Let us celebrate your event with you and your guests in one of Rockford’s oldest (and now newest!) buildings.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is included with my rental fee?

The use of our black resin Chiavari chairs, round or rectangular banquet tables, black table linens, third floor bridal suite, and staff on site throughout the event.

What is the maximum capacity of the event spaces?

Our lower level Market Hall seats 150 (standing room for 200) and our Bowtruss Room seats 200 (standing room for 250).

Who handles the food and beverage services?

We offer a list of local and delicious caterers with a variety of tastes and cuisines. Contact the RRDP office or the Event Coordinator for the list of this year’s approved caterers! We’re sure to have something that meets your needs.

Am I able to bring my own decorations?

Yes! This is your day and we want our space to be exactly what you’ve envisioned. We only ask that you refrain from nailing, gluing, or taping anything to the walls, and per fire code, we ask all candle votives and holders be pre-approved by the RRDP staff.

Am I able to come in early and set up?

We know that setting up an event space can take time. That being said, our weekend rentals are blocked from 10am until Midnight, hopefully giving ample time to set up the space.

How far in advance are bookings accepted?

We are still accepting bookings for 2019, 2020, and beyond!
