In light of emergent developments around COVID-19, we want to share what the Rockford City Market is doing to take extra precautions to create a safe and welcoming environment for our customers, staff, and community. We are monitoring all guidelines and updates from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Winnebago County Health Department and our team is working diligently to take preventative measures to keep our customers and staff healthy.
Our food hall is open and operating on regularly scheduled hours, and we are taking the following precautions:
Hand sanitizer dispensers are available in the Market gallery to supplement the restrooms in the lower level.
We posted signage throughout the Market with tips on preventing the spread of germs and how to wash hands appropriately.
Our custodians are focusing on extra sanitization of surface areas, including tables, doors, railings, chairs, etc.
Cancellations
We’ve made the decision to cancel Music at the Market: an Evening with Espinosa and Coffey (March 20) and the Spring Market on April 3 due to the number of attendees normally being significantly higher than WCHD recommended twenty-five.
What’s Still Happening
Yoga at the Market (March 21), Spring Board Painting Class (March 25), and Cooking at the Market: Quick & Easy Eats (March 26) are still on --all with a max of 20 or less participants per class. If you haven’t had a chance to sign up for any of these classes, there are still some seats open for all three! We will make further decisions on April programming based on how things are progressing on a week-to-week basis
