About The Market Venue

The Rockford City Market building dates back to 1921 where it was originally one of the first Harley Davidson dealerships in existence! In every corner of our building, guests are able to experience the rich history of the space. Our venue is a combination of industrial, historic, and modern styles.

The Market Venue has two event spaces: the Bowtruss Room and the Market Hall. The Bowtruss Room boasts high ceilings, exposed brick, and a second floor outdoor balcony. Our Market Hall showcases minimalism with white walls and contemporary, glass garage doors.

Located in the heart of downtown Rockford, The Market Venue is surrounded by everything you and your guests need for a full wedding weekend. From a nearby hotel and vibrant murals, to locally loved restaurants, bars, and boutiques, anything you may need is just steps away. Whether your guests are coming in from near or far, downtown Rockford offers the perfect mix of charm, convenience, and character. Our central location makes us a perfect midpoint between Chicago, Milwaukee, and Madison.

Bowtruss Room

Named for its original bowtruss ceiling, the Bowtruss Room showcases our building’s industrial roots with high beams, exposed brick and warm lighting. Designed for up to 200 guests, the space includes tables, black chiavari chairs and a private balcony.

Market Hall

Named after our signature event, Rockford City Market, the Market Hall blends our building’s history with a fresh, modern feel. The white walls, glass garage doors and twinkling string lights create a cozy setting for up to 200 guests. Tables and white garden chairs are included.

The Suite

With all-day access, The Suite offers everything you need to get ready in comfort and style. Complete with vanities for hair and makeup, a coffee maker and mini fridge for snacks, racks for dresses and suits, and a cozy couch for relaxing with friends, it’s the perfect space to prepare for the celebration ahead.

The Lounge

The Lounge offers a private space to unwind, enjoy a drink, or take a quiet moment throughout the day. With all-day access, a TV, table seating, and a mini fridge, it’s the perfect spot to relax or regroup before the festivities begin.

Ceremony & Reception

Enjoy full-day venue access from 9:00am–11:00pm. Includes ceremony and reception chairs (white garden and black chiavari), round and rectangular tables, all-day access to The Suite and The Lounge, Day-of Coordinator, black rectangular arch, on-site security, and caterer’s prep space.
