Another Update from the Market

In light of everything that is going on, we want to let you all know that the outdoor Rockford City Market and North End City Market will be delaying their start dates until the first weekend in June. After many conversations with other markets and local groups, we believe that this is our best first step. Some things that we are working on now:

-Working on new layouts that space the vendors out 6 feet to allow for better social distancing
-Adding hand washing stations throughout the markets for both customer and vendor use
-Providing vendors with new guidelines to promote safe transactions
-Working with our gracious neighbor RAMP to use part of their parking lot for vending space while they are temporarily relocated during renovations.
-Finding ways to support our vendors in May while the market isn’t open

We will continue to follow new information and guidance from the City, County, State and other relevant agencies about this situation and will make further adaptations as needed.
