Our organization works to bring new life to downtown Rockford by establishing a weekly tradition that draws people into the heart of the city, creates a vibrant community center, increases business at downtown shops & restaurants, and serves as an incubator for new businesses.

The Outdoor Rockford City Market began in May of 2010 under the planning, leadership, and guidance of the local non-profit, the Rock River Development Partnership. Since then, the Market has grown substantially over the years and we feel continually blessed by the community’s support, loyalty, and love.
In the past 10 years we’ve grown from a handful of vendors in an empty parking lot, to 70+ vendors underneath the beautifully constructed pavilion downtown.

This FREE rain or shine Market is located in the heart of downtown Rockford, IL. Find us every Friday night in the summer underneath the Rockford City Market pavilion and on the surround streets — 100 N. Water St., Rockford IL.
We’re open from 4pm-8:30pm (7:30pm after Labor Day).

Boat Parking: Summertime boating enthusiasts can arrive at Rockford City Market in style. Dock your boat at one of the several downtown docking areas and come on down.
Bike Parking: There is a bike rack on the North side of the Waterside Building at 124 N. Water Street as well as the south end of the pavilion parking lot close to East State Street.
Rockford Mass Transit District will provide free trolley service between the Museum Campus, Davis Park, UW Health Sports Factory, Nicholas Conservatory and Rockford City Market (with additional stops at the Coronado Theatre, Nordlof Center, and more.) The trolley will run from 3:30 - 10:30pm.
Public transportation using the Rockford Mass Transit District bus system is the perfect "go green" option for visiting Rockford City Market. The Market is on the #11 East State Street Route and will pick up and drop off at State and Water Streets every half hour at 20 after and at the top of the hour.

We’re open from 8:30am - 12:30pm.
There is a free and convient parking lot right next to the Market! There is also free street parking on Saturdays.
Bring your pup to the North End City Market! A lot of our vendors keep treats at their booths to hand out to all of our canine patrons.
